John Aldridge has revealed how he was left enthusing about the energising performance of Luis Suarez during Saturday's clash with Wigan Athletic long after the final whistle.The Uruguayan was unfortunate not to mark his first start for the Reds with a goal against Latics, hitting both the post and crossbar during the 1-1 draw.
While Aldridge admits it was frustrating to drop points against Wigan, he was left delighted by the dynamic display of Suarez.
He said: "Saturday was a disappointing result for Liverpool, but there was one shining light in the gloom - Luis Suarez.
"We knew he was good, but he surpassed all our expectations with a performance that was full of life and endeavour.
